It’s been a windy night and it felt good to ride it out in bed.

We set out this morning to see the Huka waterfall, unfortunately the road was closed by fallen trees. We quickly noticed that wasn’t the only closed road. Out next desitantion was also unreachable.

The Taupo area where we are right now primarilly suffered wind damage with fallen trees and a few land slides but nothing major so no need to worry about us.

We manged to take a short walk alog the lake, we also found a small accessable walkway along the river. Other than that we have mostly been relaxing at our motel waiting for the roads to be cleared.
